If you are a PC gamer and looking to make life easier when gaming on your Windows PC or laptop, then there are many programs available that can do this for you.
When it comes to clearing junk files or locating game files on your computer, then Easy Gamer Utility also known as EGU is a program that allows you to do just this!
EGU is developed by ComputerSluggish and is free to use. There is no installation required, and it is very lightweight so you can just download and use it.
Once you have downloaded the utility to your PC you can then begin using it to clear old cache files for game launchers such as Steam, Epic Games Launcher, Ubisoft Connect, EA App, and the Battle.net App. You can also clear the cache files for graphics cards such as NVIDIA and AMD. Although there is not an Intel option at the moment, we are sure this will be added in the near future. Especially seeing as the new Intel Arc GPUs have been released in the last year.
Clearing the cache files for your favorite game launcher or GPU can help resolve issues you maybe be facing within games or on your Windows system such as your games crashing and not working, or other graphical issues.
Deleting the cache files helps troubleshoot issues that you have been having with your PC. Clearing up disk space is a must, to keep your PC running smoothly and efficiently, so why wouldn’t you want to do this?
When you go to the Game Files tab you then have the option to locate saved data for the games listed, and also their config files. When you select one of the options Easy Gamer Utility will open the location of the files using File Explorer. Then you can edit or backup the files, depending on whether you are simply trying to adjust settings for a game, or fix corrupted data problems.
Overall Easy Gamer Utility is an easy-to-use program making it simpler to do things game related in Windows 10 and Windows 11. Although at the time of writing this article, the options are limited. But we think EGU will add some even more helpful tools very soon!
