A Little Bit About Japanese Fashion…

Everyone sees fashion differently. We always strive to come up with designs that are unique, and different, which suit our own taste and style. One unique sense of style to try is Japanese fashion – more specifically Tokyo Street Fashion.

What is Tokyo Street Fashion?

This type of fashion started in the 1960’s. It stemmed from young people that were protesting in Vietnam during that time, and people started to use those designs as a fashion statement. That’s how more and more Japanese streetwear products started to appear.

Color Clashes

You will notice that most Japanese fashion tends to have color clashes. Clashing colors offer a unique and interesting style, and this allows Japanese fashion to constantly push the boundaries to deliver something new and different. This allows the style to offer a great way to liven up your look.

Numerous Layers

One of the staples of the Japanese fashion scene right now is the fact that the wearer often wears a multitude of different layers. This layering brings in a distinct look for Japanese fashion, whilst also allowing the wearer who wears the different layers to deal with the shifting weather.

Basic Fast Fashion

What you will notice is that not all Japanese outfits are very colorful. Many of them are not impressive to look at all, as they focus a lot on functionality. That goes to show you can still wear Japansese fashion that is a little bit less imposing. Minimalist styles are just as interesting and stylish. You can even start to see Japanese style hoodies that have this type of style. It’s certainly something unique, and will really set you apart from your friends and family.

Wa Lolita

A lot of Japanese women are dressing with this style for a variety of reasons. It’s impactful, visually stimulating, but it also retains all the style that you always wanted. Wa Lolita can be described as lolita which combines both traditional Japanese clothing (such as the Kimono) with Lolita. Many people compared it to Qi lolita, which is a cross between traditional Chinese clothing with lolita.

There’s no denying that Japanese fashion is very different when compared to all the other options out there. You will always have access to a plethora of options when it comes to Japanese fashion, and you will enjoy the looks and styles that you will create. Consider giving it a try for yourself, and you will see how unique, diverse and exciting this style can actually be.
